Inventory Accuracy Workshop

Background

This back-to-basics one-day workshop will show you how to implement a thorough-going clean-up programme to put right deficiencies in an information system and identify techniques which ensure on-going future maintenance of high data accuracy.

Who should attend

Warehouse managers, systems implementation teams, production managers, stock controllers and purchasing people who wish to improve the accuracy of information vital to control stock levels.

Objectives

  • Understand the need for more accurate data
  • Identify causes of inaccuracy
  • Define what are the major causes
  • Work out the methods by which data can be improved
  • Set up action teams to improve accuracy

Style

The workshop is an interactive session.  Individuals will participate and discover what can be done to make easy improvements. At the end of the sessions teams will be set up to carry out improvements in the data accuracy.  These teams will be asked to apply the techniques discussed to key areas of data inaccuracy.  They will be given a project timescale by which to report on their progress and to receive further insight.
